1. People might think your life is hard: no money and sometimes no idea where to get your next meal. Do you think your life is hard?
Unlike the comfortable lives that modern people have, my life is more similar to a hunter. I don’t need much money and I am able to tolerate hunger. Hunters could meet their basic living needs and get happiness by getting prey while I do so by experiencing kindness from strangers. I believe that ‘When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.’
2. Do you feel stressed out about the uncertainty? (Not knowing what will happen in the future)
yes, at the beginning of my journey, I need to spend more money to feel secure. However, gradually I know what I need clearly and I spend less and less money, which is a survival skills.
3. Are you scared? Of criminals, wild animals, sicknesses, coldness, heat etc.
Getting sick did happened to me, but they were not serious. Criminals are unavoidable and my strategy is to avoid tourist area as much as possible, which reduces the possibity of theft or robbery. As for heat and coldness, I do my best to adapt but not try to act tough.
4. Are you worried about your future?
I am not worried about my future because I have collected a lot of stories during my journey and I can earn a living by that in the future. After all, everyone loves stories. What I am scared of is visa problems. If I have trouble with applying visa, I might have to stop my journey.
5. You may have to deal with setbacks several times a day. You get lost, don’t speak the language.. How do you cope with it?
don’t buy too expensive equipments when traveling so that you won’t be too depressed if you lost them. Language is not a problem. People who what to help you won’t give up because of language barrier.
6. Your thoughts about money? What money means to you?
I make money by selling postcards and giving speeches. I don’t need much money. Most of them is used for the fee of visa application and the basic cost of living. Traditional people think that young people should make money for better elderly Lives. Observely, these tradition ideas believe that work have priority over dream of traveling around the world. However, you never know long you will live so I choose the latter.
